WORKING ACTOR I
Pre-requisite – Early Professional I & II or by Audition/Placement
Length – 10 weeks
Class – 3 hours – 1 class per week
Course Description – This course is designed to strengthen the skills and knowledge of entry level working actors in order to help them meet the artistic and business demands of Day Player/Co-Star television roles as well as supporting roles in film. Via instructional video, classroom instruction, on-camera classroom activities, and, rigorous performance-based homework assignments, students continue to develop technical and performance proficiency in all aspects of the self-taped audition (Day Player/Under-five). Areas of study include; understanding the casting process, attitude, approach, and, preparation for the audition, script analysis, shooting and delivering auditions, and preparing for live callbacks. Students will also receive instruction and guidance regarding their professional tool set, including; headshots, resumes, on-line casting profiles, and, demos.
